Can coaches search Sightline for a specific softball position?

Yes, position is one of the primary filters alongside grad year and region, so a coach with an open shortstop spot for 2027 can search for exactly that instead of sorting through unrelated profiles.

What does a softball family pay to use Sightline?

Nothing upfront. Profile creation, stat logging, and appearing in coach searches are free. A Premium upgrade adds visibility into who's viewed the profile and a way to message coaches directly.

Why can't a parent just self-report their daughter's softball stats?

They can start entering them, but nothing becomes visible to college coaches until the athlete's travel or club coach reviews and approves it. That review step is what makes the number worth a coach's trust.
